Mercedes Cortez is a character in the Grand Theft Auto series, who appears as a major character in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. She was voiced by Fairuza Balk, who appeared in Return to Oz.
Early Life
Mercedes was born and raised by her parents, Juan Garcia Cortez and an unnamed mother. In the events of Vice City, she can be seen living with her father on his yacht. Later on in the game she leaves him to become a porn actress, without her father knowing. Mercedes is strongly known not to like Ricardo Diaz and her name as her name is based off the car brand, Mercedes.

Mercedes is first seen at one of her father's parties. Her father introduces her to Tommy Vercetti, who drives Mercedes to the Pole Position Club after introducing all the guests to him. Later on, Tommy introduces Mercedes to Love Fist, who wanted company at the studio. Tommy later hires her to be in one of his films with Candy Suxxx. She accepts and claims to be a good actor, according to Steve Scott.
Mercedes is known to have love interests towards Tommy Vercetti as their were a bunch of phone calls between the two that were cut from the game.
