An AK-47 is an assault rifle that appears in Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories and Grand Theft Auto IV And Episodes From Liberty City. It also makes an appearance in Grand Theft Auto V.

The AK-47 is one of the two assault rifles that appear in the game, the other being the M16. Unlike the M16, the gun has a poor firing rate and can suffer from recoil and accuracy problems with long range shooting. The gun also has a 30 round magazine capacity. It is a common weapon that is used by gangs in game, most notably by the Vance Crime Family.

- The AK-47 was originally meant to appear in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City as texture files can still be found on the game's files. It was removed for unknown reasons and replaced by the Kruger.
